You bring the talent; we bring the opportunity.</p> <p>We are currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Compliance Risk Management (CRM) department in the second line of defense (2LOD) capacity to support the Credit Compliance team. This position reports directly to the Compliance Manager and will have regulatory credit compliance experience in the financial sector with an inquisitive personality that looks to create efficiencies, foster team participation and growth, and can thrive in a diverse and fast-paced environment.</p> <p>The Compliance Officer will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Be responsible for assessing, understanding, measuring, monitoring, and managing consumer-protection laws, rules, and regulations in a 2LOD capacity. The scope of Regulations generally include:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B) <p></p> </li><li> <p>Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)</p> </li><li> <p>Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)</p> </li><li> <p>S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act - Federal Registration of Residential Mortgage Loan Originators (Regulation G)</p> </li><li> <p>Fair Credit Reporting Act (Regulation V)</p> </li><li> <p>Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA</p> </li><li> <p>Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA)</p> </li><li> <p>Truth in Lending (Regulation Z)</p> </li><li> <p>Homeowners Protection Act (HPA)</p> </li><li> <p>Loans to Executive Officers, Directors and Principal Shareholders of Member Banks (Regulation O)</p> </li><li> <p>Margin Loans (Regulation U)</p> </li><li> <p>Military Lending Act (MLA)</p> </li><li> <p>Anti-Tying (Regulation Y)</p> </li><li> <p>Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act</p> </li><li> <p>Focus on alignment and reinforce the requirements of the CRM Oversight Program, which requires compliance oversight of the first line of defense (1LOD) in the form of ongoing monitoring, comprehensive reviews, and targeted reviews. Ongoing monitoring activities generally include:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Engagement in risk assessments (e.g., Risk and Control Self-Assessment, General Compliance Risk Assessment). <p></p> </li><li> <p>Evaluation of risk and performance metrics such as key risk Indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).</p> </li><li> <p>Validation and testing of key controls.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluation of third-party supplier risk.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluation of recent regulatory changes and industry enforcement actions to identify areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring of customer communications (complaints and disclosure/notices).</p> </li><li> <p>Review of material changes to governance documents (Framework, Policy, Program, Standard, Charter) or significant procedural changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Validation of relevant implemented Findings.</p> </li><li> <p>Creation and evaluation of training materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Engagement in new products and initiative reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consultation and advisory services, including ongoing review and challenge.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in management and risk committee meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor key management and risk reporting (e.g., Internal Audit or regulatory exam results).</p> </li><li> <p>Review risk acceptance and exception requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform transactional testing, as required</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field </li><li>2+ years experience in banking/financial services regulatory compliance, auditing or other directly related experience. </li><li>A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. </li><li>Working knowledge of banking/financial regulatory compliance, compliance testing, auditing, and regulatory issues. </li><li>Working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations </li><li>Must have good customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, character, and professionalism as a representative of Compliance and its management team </li><li>Effective research, organizational, analytical and problem resolution skills.
