<p>Description</p> <p>SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., additional hours/days as needed, including some holidays.</p> <p>Pays $44,800 - $118,495 DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set)</p> <p>LOCATION: 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA and other sites as needed. Eligible for limited telecommuting when appropriate and approved by supervisor.</p> <p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:</p> <p>The Workforce Development mission is to provide training and access to employment opportunities through education, skills building and community connections. Our vision is that people with histories of housing insecurity or homelessness are reconnected with employment and income as a launching point for stability in all aspects of their lives.</p> <p>At any given time, there are between 40-60 active trainees in the programs, with 130+ individuals enrolled each year. Participants are enrolled into the Food Service Training Program (FSTP) or the Housekeeping Training & Employment Program (HKTEP).</p> <p>The Workforce Development Benefits Access and Data Operations Manager will oversee participant access to public benefits and ensure accurate, timely management of Workforce Development program data. This role combines subject-matter expertise in SNAP Outreach and Path To Work Program, SSI/SSDI and other entitlement programs. Additionally, this individual will require strong data operations and compliance management to improve outcomes for participants and to strengthen program capacity and outcomes. They will work closely with the WFD Leadership Team on the integrity of data and metrics operations, training, and reporting.</p> <p>The Manager will need to be a self-motivated individual with solid organizational and communication skills, and capable of project management. This position requires a great deal of tact, diplomacy, and creative problem solving in order to maintain our positive working relationships with our stakeholders: staff, volunteers, referral partners, trainees and guests and the community at-large.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education/Training:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's of Social Work (or equivalent degree/experience in human services) </li><li>High degree of cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with diverse people and situations. </li><li>In-depth understanding of public benefits and housing subsidies. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Master's of Social Work, Licensed Social Worker </li><li>Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness with complex disabilities and facing significant barriers. </li><li>Proposal and grant writing experience </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Experience:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three (3) years' experience working with unhoused individuals or similar client population </li><li>Must be proficient in technology solutions </li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships with external agencies and resources </li><li>Ability to create and pilot new program initiatives in response to data trends </li><li>Extensive knowledge of workforce development principles, theories, and practices, especially as relating to vulnerable populations and populations with significant barriers to obtaining and sustaining employment </li><li>Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, implement plans, and meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to create and maintain reports for program management, partners, and funders </li><li>Ability to create and deliver presentations further to managing or extending relationships with funders, external partners, and internal program management and leadership. </li><li>Experience in creating and conducting workshops, developing presentations, and project facilitation </li><li>Creative problem-solving mindset and critical thinking skills </li><li>Strong planning and organizational skills </li><li>Fluent in Windows 2010, Microsoft Office Suite applications(Word, Excel, etc). </li><li>Strong computer skills, data entry, and skilled in database programs and management information. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>· Three (3) years' experience providing employment and training services to homeless and chronically homeless adults </li><li>· Prior experience in behavioral health field, working with adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders </li><li>· Experience and training in Trauma Informed Care </li></ul>
