<p>TYPICAL DUTIES:</p> <p>Technical Acumen:</p> <ul> <li>Estimate, design and respond to formal bids </li><li>Review and interpret construction documents, wiring and schematic diagrams and schedules </li><li>Provide technical design support for sales and field personnel </li><li>Be open minded and able to suggest new products for both existing and new customer. </li><li>Proactive in following up on proposals both verbally and in writing. </li><li>Ability to write Cost Proposal in a professional manner. </li><li>Strong computer skills, including but not limited to creating spreadsheets, cost proposal and project bids using software. </li><li>Strong verbal and written skills. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a sense of leadership in negotiations and critical thinking. </li><li>Able to work in a team environment or individually with little direct supervision. </li><li>Industry professionals holding RCDD, NICET, PSP, CPP and/or LEED certifications are encouraged to apply. </li><li>All work is performed to RFI standards and quality techniques are practiced. </li><li>Maintain accurate project information with in RFI shared files and system. </li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision. </li><li>Capacity to organize workload for effective implementation. </li><li>Be knowledgeable of current industry standards and emerging technologies. </li><li>Other duties deemed necessary. </li></ul> <p>Customer Service & Communications Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in providing customers and Project Managers with detailed progress updates, delays/ impacts, safety concerns, and any other information that will aid in achieving a successful project outcome. </li><li>Work proactively and in a positive manner with all co-workers. </li><li>Communicate effectively and in a timely manner to resolve RFI, Client, or other inquiries and/or requests. </li><li>Maintain communications with customers and sales executives to resolve customer issues. </li><li>Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations. </li></ul> <p>Safety & Accountability:</p> <ul> <li>Adherence to all RFI Safety Policies; Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other. </li><li>Consistently keeps work area clean and free of potential hazards. </li><li>Ability to complete work and solve problems in a timely manner. </li><li>Provide reports to management. </li><li>Adhere to procedures and standards in system design for quality installations. </li></ul> <p>Education, Work Experience and Requirements:</p> <p>Field experience with low voltage systems in a construction environment and excellent computer skills desired. Minimum of two years industry experience working with Fire Alarms and Life Safety Systems systems required. Electronics/Construction Management certification a plus.
