<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Level & Co. is a secondary market gallery specializing in Post-War and Contemporary art from abstract expressionism to neo-expressionism to 21st-century masters. As a Masterworks affiliate, we act as the primary sourcing agent to find collectors interested in purchasing paintings. Additionally, we broker secondary market works between collectors. Collectively, the team sees more than $100 million per year in secondary market activity.</p> <p>We are looking for a savvy, resourceful, and diligent New York-based sales specialist with a deep focus on Post War and Contemporary Art to work directly as a client manager with our President of the gallery.</p> <p>The Role will have four key components:</p> <ul> <li>Manage special projects for key clients of the gallery (acquisitions, due diligence, consignments, advisory) </li><li>Conduct new client outreach on behalf of Level & Co. President and build new client relationships for the gallery </li><li>Manage key intermediary relationships for the gallery </li><li>Proactively generate new business opportunities </li><li>Plan and execute exhibitions </li><li>Attend key art world events, fairs, auctions </li><li>Host client viewings </li></ul> <p>In the first few months, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Manage acquisition projects for key Level & Co. clients </li><li>Conduct outreach to establish new relationships </li><li>Help plan for upcoming exhibitions </li><li>Conduct daily outreach to new potential clients </li></ul> <p>Requirements or Skill Sets:</p> <ul> <li>8+ years in a specialist role at a leading gallery or auction house or as an independent dealer </li><li>Expertise in Post-War and Contemporary Art at $1mm+ price points </li><li>Experience with negotiations and ability to multitask </li><li>Team player, proactive, highly organized, and attentive to detail </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Fluency in at least one other language is preferred </li><li>Ability to travel (local and international) </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible for full-time US work - no exceptions. </li><li>Must be able to work from our NY office - not a remote role. </li><li>Must be able to travel periodically for short stints </li></ul> <p>Benefits at Level & Co.:</p> <ul> <li>Free admission to art museums and galleries </li><li>Health, dental, and vision coverage with FSA options </li><li>PTO and 401k </li><li>Discounted Equinox membership </li></ul>
