Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Oversees users of the university swimming pool.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Currently American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified </li><li>Monitor and ensure the safety of all individuals in and around the pool area </li><li>Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment </li><li>Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents that may occur </li><li>Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as necessary </li><li>Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify any hazards or potential risks </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, including regular pool cleaning duties </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>High School</p> <p>Work Experience</p> <p>3 Months General Work Experience</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Outdoor environment; must have physical ability to perform water rescue.</p> <p>Base Rate Per Hour:</p> <p>14.50</p> <ul> <li>Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations </li><li>Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks </li></ul>
