This individual is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction that promotes reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in alignment with World Language standards. The teacher will foster global awareness, cultural appreciation, and effective communication skills necessary for college, career, and civic readiness. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator who can inspire students, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and cultivate an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Select instructional goals aligned with district curricula. </li><li>Plan and deliver lessons that integrate interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication modes. Instructional planning demonstrates thoughtful sequencing, meaningful practice opportunities, and cultural integration. </li><li>Demonstrate strong content knowledge in Spanish language acquisition and Hispanic cultures. Instruction aligns with district curriculum frameworks and promotes real-world language application. </li><li>Show understanding of adolescent developmental characteristics, varied learning profiles, cultural backgrounds, and student interests. </li><li>Create and/or select formative and summative assessments aligned with instructional goals, including performance-based assessments and proficiency measures. </li><li>Establish clear procedures and routines that maximize instructional time and promote student engagement. </li><li>Maintain high behavioral expectations and respond to student conduct in effective, respectful ways. </li><li>Foster a classroom atmosphere that values diversity, risk-taking in language learning, and mutual respect. </li><li>Organize and manage classroom space and instructional resources to support interactive and communicative learning. </li><li>Deliver instruction that is clear, coherent, culturally responsive, and appropriately paced.
