<p>School Monitor, Permanent Building Substitute (Waverly School) JobID: 1377</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>School Monitor/Classroom Monitor</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>2/3/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Waverly School</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>School Monitor, Permanent Building Substitute</p> <p>2025-2026</p> <p>Waverly School</p> <p>Waverly School is seeking a candidate for the position of school monitor, permanent building substitute assigned to K-1 classes.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively with elementary school age children; </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff; </li><li>Ability to take oral and written directives; </li><li>Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position; </li><li>NYSED Fingerprint Clearance* </li></ul> <p>Employment Terms:</p> <ul> <li>10 month </li><li>Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM (30 min lunch), Monday - Friday </li><li>Salary Range: In accordance with the Eastchester Monitors' Association (EMA) negotiated salary schedule, $18.02 - $23.18 per hour, step placement contingent upon prior relevant experience </li><li>Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES). The Commissioner of Education carries out these responsibilities through the New York State Education Department's Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA). </li></ul>
