<p>About the role</p> <p>Credo is seeking a Senior Optical Systems Validation Engineer to join our Optical Systems Applications Engineering team. In this role, you'll validate and characterize Credo's optical modules and components operating from 50 Gbps to 448 Gbps and beyond. You'll develop test procedures, analyze results, and finalize chip and module configurations that power AI and data center applications-playing a key role in shaping our high-speed optical interconnect products.</p> <p>Base salary range is $140,000 - $210,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. Our technology powers the most reliable and energy-efficient connections around the world - and our team powers new products and markets that come next. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct electrical and optical measurements on evaluation boards and modules. </li><li>Validate and characterize optical module performance, including advanced firmware features, on compliance boards and in servers. </li><li>Evaluate optical components (lasers, modulators, receivers, etc.) for performance, reliability, and test system feasibility. </li><li>Validate modules in hyperscaler servers (Arista, Juniper, NVIDIA, etc.) and debug firmware and hardware issues. </li><li>Develop automated test frameworks to scale validation. </li><li>Design and execute engineering and design verification tests. </li><li>Lead failure analysis with contract manufacturers, field applications engineers, and customers. </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Signal Integrity, Mechanical, Firmware, Electrical, Optical, Marketing, and Operations teams. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience. </li><li>Strong analytical skills in optical systems. </li><li>Hands-on expertise with high-speed optical and electrical lab measurement equipment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with optical alignment and fiber coupling. </li><li>Proficiency with standard optical test instruments: power meters, optical spectrum analyzers, variable optical attenuators, and multi-axis stage positioners. </li><li>Experience with high-speed (50G-200G) optical and electrical testing, including test automation. </li><li>Programming skills in Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or LabVIEW for data collection, analysis, and presentation. </li></ul> <p>About Credo</p> <p>Credo's mission is to transform connectivity at scale through fast, reliable, and energy-efficient system solutions.
