<p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Utilize the tools of APQP, including PPAP, FMEA's, control plans, and capability studies. </li><li>Review and approve Supplier PPAP packages, understanding Level 3 submission PPAP requirements. </li><li>Lead APQ and PPAP activities for internal and intra-company supplied parts, including Component Risk Assessments, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation. </li><li>Interact with Supplier Development Engineers for purchased components. </li><li>Develop APQP plans for NPD programs. </li><li>Develop the Supplier APQP workbook and ensure all critical states are entered into the Supplier Advanced Quality database in SharePoint. </li><li>Regularly liaise with suppliers to track completion of tasks and APQP items. </li><li>Update the Supplier Advances Quality Database in SharePoint with component APQP progress. </li><li>Lead the resolution of discrepancies to drive PPAP to full status. </li><li>Partner with Engineering to define verification and validation test requirements. </li><li>Complete or contribute to final design verification and design validation test reports, providing clear and concise conclusions. </li><li>Utilize statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques to determine product acceptance limits and resolve quality problems. </li><li>Track PPAP submissions and follow up on interim statuses. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Materials Science, or equivalent). </li><li>Minimum 3 years of quality engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry. </li><li>Familiarity with automotive OEM customer requirements and audit processes. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerance. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of IATF, ISO, and related standards. </li><li>Experience in Design for Manufacturability and process reliability/validation. </li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and project management skills. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, IL.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
