This hybrid opportunity is available at our offices in Maumee, Cleveland, Toledo, or Columbus, OH, as well as Canton, MI.</p> <p>We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, pro-active, has good organizational and time management skills. Together with a rewarding career opportunity, we offer competitive benefits and compensation package and an excellent work environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and backup to maintain and process (as needed) bi-weekly multi-state payroll. </li><li>Keep employee payroll records up-to-date </li><li>Create and post payroll journals entries to the general ledge. </li><li>Work with HR to audit benefit withholdings against provider invoice. </li><li>Help investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies. </li><li>Ensure compliance of timesheets with employee handbook </li><li>Ensure tax compliance with various states and local municipalities </li><li>Verify funding of 401k contributions and calculate employer 401k match contribution </li><li>Month and year end account reconciliations and schedules </li><li>Preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports </li><li>Assist with state department of transportation billings and review </li><li>Assist with overflow work from accounts payable clerk </li><li>Work to identify and implement efficiencies throughout the department </li><li>Work closely with CFO and Controller on special projects and department improvement initiatives </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with solid understanding of GAAP. </li><li>Payroll processing certification and experience preferred. </li><li>5+ years of relevant accounting work experience. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in advanced accounting systems (Deltek Vision or VantagePoint preferred) </li><li>Must work well in a team environment, be independently effective and meet deadlines. </li><li>Detail-oriented problem solver. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills. </li><li>Strong analytical skills. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>401(k) w/ company match </li><li>Health insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, Life </li><li>Flexible schedule </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Referral program </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Catalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
