Join our team, where your skills will ensure robust, secure, and high-performing IT systems that support cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing operations.</p> <p>As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across Windows-based environments, virtualization platforms, and networking systems.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, storage systems, and related infrastructure. </li><li>Administer and support VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. </li><li>Manage Veeam Backup & Replication for data protection and disaster recovery. </li><li>Administer Active Directory in multi-domain environments, including GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and DFS. </li><li>Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco and Aruba network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, IP subnetting, 802.1Q trunks). </li><li>Support and maintain Ubuntu Linux servers and services. </li><li>Implement monitoring, configuration management, and reporting tools for proactive system management. </li><li>Develop and execute project plans, risk assessments, and contingency strategies. </li><li>Document best practices, procedures, and system configurations. </li><li>Provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance. </li><li>Mentor and cross-train team members on emerging technologies. </li></ul> <p>Requirements and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>Microsoft Certification (e.g., MCSE) or equivalent preferred. </li><li>Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policy. </li><li>Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and desktop OS. </li><li>Experience managing environments with 75+ Windows servers and performing Windows and SQL Server upgrades. </li><li>Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking, including routing, switching, and VLAN configuration. </li><li>Experience with SAN/NAS storage systems and protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB). </li><li>Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. </li><li>Preferred: Certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Aruba Certified Network Professional, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server/Active Directory. </li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and hybrid environments. </li></ul> <p>Bring your passion, commitment, and curiosity to Zygo, where our values-curiosity, collaboration, persistence, confidence, problem-solving, and safety-guide every step of our journey.
