<p>Bilingual Community Liaison JobID: 8188</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Student Support Services/Bilingual Community Liaison</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/30/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>ESC</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Please read attached job description for more detailed information.</p> <p>Bilngual Community Liaison</p> <p>ESC- Educational Service Center located in the Omni Centre</p> <p>260 Days/Year, Year-Round</p> <p>7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (includes a 60 minute unpaid lunch break)</p> <p>Starts at $21.80 per hour (may increase based on experience)</p> <p>Provide as-needed services for English Language Learners (ELL) and Spanish-speaking families to strengthen the relationship between home, school, and the language minority communities.</p> <p>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required: Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education or associate degree in human services or education</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Bachelor's degree</p> </li><li> <p>Required: Minimum of two years experience working with bilingual families and communities</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Experience working in an educational setting or with children</p> </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Essential duties must be performed on-site. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Welcome new ELL students as they arrive at school.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist new ELL students and families in adjusting to the United States schools, cultures and lifestyles.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with planning and facilitating bilingual parent groups and activities at assigned schools</p> </li><li> <p>Assist and facilitate in-home visits as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with oral and written communication between families and school staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide translation services for school-related matters.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide translation services for the Special Education Department.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate translation services for schools/families.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a cultural resource for the District</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in professional learning opportunities as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain strict confidentiality regarding families and students</p> </li><li> <p>Build and maintain professional and harmonious working relationships with students, staff and the community.</p> </li></ul> <p>APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
