The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard's safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met </li><li>Develop CAD nesting sketches with bevels, part marking, and chamfer information for the plasma and oxygen CNC plate cutting stations </li><li>Develop CAD milling and nesting sketches with bevels, part marking, and chamfer information for the CNC panel cutting stations </li><li>Determine the most efficient plate part arrangement and sequence to be used during cutting operations to minimize the waste of raw material </li><li>Convert CAD files into GEN files readable by the individual cutting stations </li><li>Verify that corner loops, bevel windows, marking lines, bevels, part-to-part, and part-to-plate edge distances are adequate for the individual cutting stations </li><li>Issue CNC cutting files by locating them into the network based on agreed procedures </li><li>Communicate with Production personnel to resolve any production issues with the documentation / information </li><li>Perform other related duties as required and assigned </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbal and written </li><li>Adaptability and Organizational skills and understanding </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Willingness and ability to work as a team member </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY</p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Minimum 3 years' experience in shipbuilding or steel fabrication </li><li>General knowledge of steel material qualities and steel structural design/construction </li><li>CAD / CAM software knowledge </li><li>MS Office experience </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke.
