Candidates requiring current or future sponsorship will not be considered.</p> <p>Job description</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented person to fill a ServiceNow CMDB Specialist - Foundational role. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), focusing on data accuracy, entry, and basic auditing under supervision. This entry-level role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of IT asset data and supporting various IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with the CSDM and CMDB teams to define a repeatable approach for mapping Service Instances to CIs using tagging and standard patterns.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Service Owners and support staff with applying and validating tags (yaml) that support CSDM/CMDB alignment and TCO visibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify opportunities to simplify class structures and relationship patterns to support foundational alignment standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Document tagging standards, mapping patterns, and known exceptions for use by operational teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Create and administer Dynamic CMDB Groups.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years administrating CMDB structures and lifecycle processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience configuring CI classes, attributes, and relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of Identification & Reconciliation (I/R) rules and reconciling multiple data sources.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Discovery, Service Mapping, maintain patterns / probes and CI ingestion sources.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience resolving CI data defects and supporting audit remediation.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interpret architectural requirements and apply them to the CMDB.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience producing dashboards or reports for CI data quality.</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-REMOTE</p>
