And thanks to our team's extraordinary efforts, we are a leading innovator in the e-commerce and grocery industries.</p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Merchandising Team this summer for an eight-week paid internship beginning July 7th, 2025, and ending August 29th, 2025.</p> <p>Above all, the right candidate will be someone who:</p> <p>1) Has a passion for food and is interested in learning about the food industry</p> <p>2) Makes friends quickly and easily</p> <p>3) Learns new systems just as quickly</p> <p>4) Has tenacious follow-up and can keep projects on task</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Non-Perishable Merchandising Intern will split their time across</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with vendors and major distributors to gather and organize data for new product set-up </li><li>Support the team with storefront management, site merchandising and product info accuracy; including Site Navigation improvements, Attribute tagging, Hierarchy corrections, and Manufacturer tagging </li><li>Support the team with weekly Gross Margin and Out of Stock reviews and take the lead troubleshooting exceptions for Center Store categories </li><li>Engage with Merchandising Team on periodic Category and Brand reviews. </li><li>Ad hoc project support </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>In pursuit of a BA/BS, with a demonstrated interest in the food industry, merchandising, or e-commerce. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel </li><li>Experience in food retail and/or merchandising preferred </li><li>The ability to work in refrigerated environments for short periods of time </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <p>The ideal candidate should possess:</p> <ul> <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills </li><li>Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets </li><li>A willingness to think creatively and take calculated risks </li></ul> <p>Why choose FreshDirect?</p> <p>We're a company that thrives on teamwork.
