<p>Position Summary: Ensures all food preparation and storage areas are cleaned and maintained in a safe and sanitary manner</p> <p>Job Title: Steward</p> <p>Department: Food & Beverage</p> <p>Reports To: Stewarding Supervisor</p> <p>FSLA Designation: Non-exempt</p> <p>License Type: Non-gaming</p> <p>Target Pay: Start -$20.34 One Year -$22.60</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Sets up the dishwashing area with racks, chemicals, supplies and carts </li><li>Scrapes food from dirty dishes </li><li>Places tableware in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine </li><li>Washes pots, pans, and other cooking utensils and equipment </li><li>Sweeps and mops kitchen floors </li><li>Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other kitchen or beverage areas as needed </li><li>Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers </li><li>Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans </li><li>Maintains the can wash area on loading dock in sanitary and neat condition </li><li>Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas </li><li>Organizes china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment and utensils and supplies </li><li>Follows sanitation and safety guidelines </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years or older </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Six months or more related experience or training preferred </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk </li><li>Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds </li><li>Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel </li><li>Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor </li><li>Exposure to high noise level </li></ul>
