<p>Overview</p> <p>Supervises the daily planning, organization, and operation of warehouse functions for an assigned shift or group in partnership with the Facility Manager. Oversee the receiving, storage, distribution, and shipment of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate operations. Responsible for safety, quality, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance within the warehouse.</p> <p>Shift: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p.</p> <p>We kindly request that recruitment agencies and staffing firms refrain from submitting unsolicited resumes to our company. Any resumes sent without a prior agreement and access to proper submittal into the ATS will be considered the property of The Marzetti Company, and we reserve the right to contact those candidates without any obligation to pay a fee.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, coordinate, and oversee warehouse shipping and receiving activities to meet operational, cost, productivity, and safety objectives. </li><li>Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment in compliance with Company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations, including quality, food safety, and HACCP requirements. </li><li>Utilize warehouse management systems, data, and analytics to track performance, monitor inventory, and proactively identify and resolve operational issues. </li><li>Manage inventory accuracy, rotation, and material flow to prevent spoilage, shortages, or errors; ensure timely and accurate supply of raw materials to packaging and production areas. </li><li>Partner with the Facility Manager to implement cost-effective controls for labor, capital assets, operating expenses, maintenance costs, inventory levels, and process errors. </li><li>Review warehouse budgets and monitor labor costs, overtime, and attendance using Kronos or other time management systems. </li><li>Provide leadership to warehouse staff through training, coaching, development, performance evaluation, and scheduling to ensure operational readiness and compliance. </li><li>Ensure staff are equipped with proper tools, equipment, and training to perform duties safely and effectively. </li><li>Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair programs for warehouse equipment, storage racking, tanks, and structures to ensure safe and reliable operation. </li><li>Oversee loading and unloading activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and handling requirements. </li><li>Resolve discrepancies related to inventory, invoices, packing slips, and receiving documentation in coordination with plant accounting; maintain accurate records. </li><li>Serve as a Qualified Individual under the plant's Food Safety Plan, supporting preventive controls, supply chain controls, monitoring, and verification activities. </li><li>Maintain positive employee, corporate, and community relations. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities</p> <p>Apply the food safety and quality principles as described in the Marzetti Corporate Food Safety and Quality Manual and internal Marzetti Frozen Pasta policies, training and procedures in all applicable aspects of departmental and job functions.</p> <p>#TMZ23</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of warehouse or production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry. </li><li>Associates degree in business or equivalent experience/education in warehouse management. </li><li>Working knowledge of receiving/shipping, warehouse and material handling operations, methods and practices. </li><li>Lean and 6 sigma or other continuous improvement experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>Directly supervises 2-15 employees in the warehouse area. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and results of the warehouse area during an assigned shift. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, appraising and terminating employees; planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints/grievances and resolving problems.</p> <p>Working Conditions/Environment</p> <p>Works in an office and manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Requires some lifting of 25-50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant.
