Together we will create a brighter future and make a meaningful difference.</p> <p>As a Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Healthcare Payments, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Implement database backup, recovery, and archiving strategies. </li><li>Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. </li><li>Monitor customer-facing databases to ensure 24/7/365 uptime, adhering to our internal SLA of 99.99%, with on-call responsibilities. </li><li>Set up and configure Amazon RDS database instances. </li><li>Solve and troubleshoot issues in Amazon RDS using DataDog and CloudWatch. </li><li>Identify optimization opportunities within customer-facing databases. </li><li>Perform change management of database systems following the company's defined change management policies. </li><li>Utilize tools such as JET, Jules, and Spinnaker effectively. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification in data engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience. </li><li>Experience with database backup, recovery, and archiving strategies. </li><li>Working experience with both relational and NoSQL databases. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in SQL, including expertise in joins and aggregations. </li><li>Experience with AWS database services, including RDS SQL Server, and ability to run and troubleshoot AWS Lambda functions. </li><li>Proficiency in using Datadog and CloudWatch for monitoring and troubleshooting. </li><li>Experience in administering Microsoft SQL Server 2019. </li><li>Experience with Multi-AZ deployments. </li><li>Background in the installation and configuration of SQL Server database technology in both development and DBA capacities, including tasks such as data backup and restore, debugging, optimization, software patch applications, defragmentation, and database replacement. </li><li>Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>AWS Certification is preferred. </li><li>Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, preferably in a highly transactional/OLTP environment. </li><li>Background in the installation and configuration of SQL Server database technology in both development and DBA capacities, including tasks such as data backup and restore, debugging, optimization, software patch applications, defragmentation, and database replacement. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS database services, including RDS SQL, DynamoDB, etc. </li><li>Proficiency in using the AWS Management Console. </li><li>Basic knowledge of DEV Shell and Postman. </li></ul> <p>FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT:</p> <p>This position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
