<p>ACLD's Preschool Education Programs at Kramer Learning Center and The Alan and Ellen Spiegel Children's Center are designed to meet the individual needs of young children diagnosed with developmental disabilities. Quality education and therapeutic services are provided during school hours by a highly trained, dedicated staff of professionals.</p> <p>ACLD is looking for a Social Worker or Licensed School Psychologist- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred to provide interventions and support services for preschool children which are critical to the child's success in their educational program. Delivers direct and indirect services such as individual/group and family counseling, parent training, play therapy, child/family advocacy, crisis intervention and information/referral services.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Engage with all the children on caseload in order to provide ongoing assessment and input regarding the child's needs and growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide social skills training on an ongoing basis in large/small group settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct initial Social History Evaluations as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct Routine Based Interviews with the child's classroom team and the child's family in order to provide important psycho social information to aid the team in its work with the child/family.</p> </li><li> <p>Advocate for families and children within the agency, the school district and the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the child's family via community outreach and referrals.</p> </li></ul> <p>We require:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree and Licensure as a School Social Worker in NY State or Master's Degree (60 Credits) in School Psychology - NY State Certification. </li><li>Experience working with developmentally delayed children. </li><li>Experience working with community resources, i.e. Child Protective Services, Department of Social Services </li><li>Knowledge of behavior management techniques </li><li>Must be physically able to handle all aspects of the supervision of the day-to-day activities of preschoolers which may include, but not limited to, running, bending, and lifting children as needed. </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Monday - Friday 7:45am-3:15pm - 35 hours per week</p> <p>Apply online at www.acld.org.</p> <p>An EOE m/f/d/v</p> <p>5123</p>
