In this role, you will be expected to work collaboratively and in a consultative fashion to effectively align workforce strategies and practices with business objectives. Our goal is to develop solutions and deliver outcomes for our sponsors, to ensure the security, health, and prosperity of the American public. MITRE Technology & Engineering applies the expertise of technical staff and subject matter experts across our programs by fostering and developing technical talent, stewarding technical depth, conceiving and executing research, and ensuring MITRE's capabilities, people, methods, labs, platforms, and environments remain on the leading edge.</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted business partner and coach to employees and all levels of leaders from front-line management to executives. </li><li>Partner with leadership to understand business needs and provide HR insights to develop and drive people-related outcomes. </li><li>Collaborate closely with leaders and employees to implement HR programs including talent reviews and succession planning, workforce planning, compensation planning, performance management, actioning employee survey data, and internal processes and policies. </li><li>Lead or collaborate on organizational design strategy and change management initiatives to drive alignment across the organization. </li><li>Use business knowledge and metrics data to identify trends and develop appropriate actions. </li><li>Identify people-related challenges and deliver strategic solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. </li><li>Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to align HR strategy to meet business needs. </li><li>Stay informed on employment laws, regulations, and proven practices to drive positive business outcomes. </li><li>Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by leveraging intellectual curiosity to explore innovative HR practices and solutions. </li><li>Promotion of a respectful and collaborative culture that supports development and learning </li><li>Collaboration with other HR leaders to enhance customer impact through shared resources, subject matter expertise, and partnerships. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. </li><li>At least 6 years of related experience working at a mid-size or large multi-site organization. </li><li>Proven experience as a strategic HR partner aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational success and improve employee engagement. </li><li>Broad HR expertise including talent management, organizational design, performance management, compensation, and leadership development. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR programs, policies, and initiatives that support business goals and enhance the employee experience. </li><li>Strong skills in conflict resolution, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws, while fostering a positive workplace culture. </li><li>Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, influence and coach them, and translate business priorities into actionable talent strategies that deliver results. </li><li>Highly collaborative, with strong communication and facilitation skills, able to navigate ambiguity and balance competing priorities to achieve outcomes for both employees and the business. </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, using data to diagnose issues and drive effective, scalable solutions. </li><li>Demonstrated integrity, ethical leadership, and sound judgment, with strong negotiation and decision-making skills. </li><li>Ability to quickly build trust and effectively engage with leaders, many of whom possess high credentials and analytical skills, translating business priorities into actionable talent strategies, and achieving targeted outcomes. </li><li>Proven critical thinker with a strong analytical mindset, consistently delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that drive business success and informed decision-making. </li><li>Ability to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions to facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change. </li><li>This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site in McLean, VA or Bedford, MA </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous U.S. government contracting experience, especially within a highly matrixed organization. </li><li>HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent. </li><li>Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably Workday. </li><li>Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance as required. </li><li>Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills and the ability to prepare high quality documents as well as present and facilitate group meetings and events. </li></ul> <p>This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):</p> <p>None</p> <p>This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):</p> <p>None</p> <p>Salary compensation range and midpoint:</p> <p>$125,600 - $157,000 - $188,400 Annual</p> <p>Work Location Type:</p> <p>Hybrid</p> <p>It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
