Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and have an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and customer service. The Controls Technician will effectively work with a diverse set of BAS, mechanical, and lighting control systems. The technician will also remain up to date on the latest trends and technologies used in the industry.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor Building Automation Systems for alarms and deficiencies </li><li>Identify and correct component failures within the BAS system </li><li>Backup existing control programs and data on a periodic basis. </li><li>Assist with installation and commissioning activities to include control system setup, network configuration, and equipment integration </li><li>Assist with troubleshooting and resolving installation and operation issues related to DDC controls and mechanical systems </li><li>Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes </li></ul> <p>Education/skills required:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate </li><li>Completed or currently enrolled in trade school or technical degree program </li><li>Basic knowledge and understanding of HVAC equipment and technology </li><li>Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics </li><li>Up to date with evolving codes and technology </li><li>Knowledge of Basic electricity </li><li>Ability to work safely with hand and power tools </li><li>Ability to work at heights and on ladders </li><li>Mechanical aptitude </li><li>Basic math skills </li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team </li><li>Self-Motivated, demonstrates a positive attitude and desire to learn </li><li>Proficient with computer hardware and software </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <p>Certification Requirements:</p> <p>Job Posting End Date (if date is blank, posting is open ended):</p>
