<p>The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) serve over 7,000 students from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. Our district includes eight K-8 elementary schools, one Early Education program (BEEP), and one high school, all located in the Town of Brookline.</p> <p>PSB is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic professionals who are ready to make a difference. Join us in our mission to ensure that every student gains the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead a fulfilling life, engage thoughtfully in our democracy, and succeed in a diverse and ever-changing world.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Study and follow the curriculum and lesson plan as provided by the absent teacher or the principal </li><li>Apply various teaching techniques (including interactive methods and game-based activities) to encourage participation and facilitate learning </li><li>Prepare educational materials, such as notes, exercises and additional resources </li><li>Assign classwork and homework </li><li>Take attendance according to school policy </li><li>Keep track of students' progress and write down information that'll be useful to the regular teacher </li><li>Report any incidents regarding students' behavior in and out of the classroom </li><li>Maintain a tidy and safe class environment for students </li><li>Oversee school equipment and ensure students use it properly </li><li>Salary $135/day </li></ul> <p>Terms: SY25/26</p> <p>All candidates must receive A PSB suitability determination of any criminal history background, including fingerprinting and CORI. Current authorization to work in the United States.
