New Haven is hiring On-Call Direct Support Professionals / Youth Mentors to support adolescent girls in a therapeutic residential setting.</p> <p>This on-call position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible, as-needed hours, supplemental income, or real-world experience in mental health, youth development, and residential treatment. Shifts are available based on operational needs and staff availability.</p> <p>New Haven is a nationally recognized residential treatment center for adolescent girls ages 14-18. Our Spanish Fork campus offers a safe, structured, and home-like environment where mental health care, trauma-informed support, and academics work together. Our team supports teens with emotional regulation, relational growth, and behavioral health challenges using a family-centered, strengths-based approach.</p> <p>This on-call Direct Support Professional role is a strong fit for candidates pursuing or exploring careers in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral health, human services, or youth mentoring. It is also well-suited for students, recent graduates, or professionals seeking flexible schedules and meaningful work.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide direct care and behavioral health support to adolescent residents</p> </li><li> <p>Lead and participate in daily routines, group activities, and therapeutic programming</p> </li><li> <p>Support the development of healthy coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with minor food preparation and model healthy lifestyle habits</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans</p> </li><li> <p>Document daily progress notes and communicate key updates to leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Use safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention skills when needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Paid training provided, including substance use recovery support and crisis intervention techniques.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>21 years of age or older </li><li>Valid driver's license with a good driving record </li><li>Ability to pass a Utah State background check </li><li>Willingness to commit to a minimum of 8 months </li><li>Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit before the first day of work </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>New Haven is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
