This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about. We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, First Line of Defense Platform Control Lead; this role will be located in New York, NY. Within this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Analyze existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements and industry practices in order to execute a robust and effective process to investigate Primary Institutional Portal alerts. Implementing and executing procedures to meet existing and upcoming regulatory requirements, expectations and industry standards. Verify compliance with complex regulatory and policy requirements; make recommendations on compliance evolving industry standards. Work with multiple stakeholders within the institution to enhance their understanding of compliance and overall enterprise risks, as well as the risk management and implementation of mitigating controls. Contribute to the management and governance and oversight of firm-wide Primary Institutional Portal efforts to plan, coordinate, and track the implementation of the Firm's Global Primary Institutional Portal policy standards and suggest enhancement of the control environment. Represent the company with respect to Primary Institutional Portal advisory controls in internal, external, and regulatory audits and examinations. Work across platforms to ensure compliance with centrally defined controls relating to portals, ensuring consistent approach mitigating associated risks across BNY. Contribute to the development and provide regular training to BNY businesses, operations and other stakeholders on key Primary Institutional Portal topics and assist the global businesses in developing regular communication on key compliance topics. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 15+ years of total work experience, with 5-7 years of management experience, preferred. Financial Services, Audit or Compliance background and/or experience with financial services compliance and/or experience with the assigned products, services or business lines/areas and the pertaining laws, regulations and rules of relevant regulators preferred. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $147,000 and $225,00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors</p>
