Worth, TX.</p> <p>The energy industry is undergoing rapid and dramatic changes, transforming the utility landscape to enhance safety, reliability and sustainability. In response, Jacobs is expanding its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) operations In North America and is looking for an Entry Level Overhead Transmission Line Engineer in its Energy & Power Group to tackle the complexities of decarbonization and utility modernization to deliver a cleaner and more secure energy future.</p> <p>As an Overhead Transmission Line Engineer, you will be working closely with our regional and global Transmission & Distribution (T&D) delivery teams to support our utility/developer clients and operations teams as we expand our energy transition portfolio. You will play a key role in development of design deliverables for utility upgrades including greenfield/brownfield projects, and developer interconnection facilities. Prior internship experience designing utility transmission and distribution systems will be highly regarded.</p> <p>The successful candidate shall demonstrate excellent communication and technical writing skills paired with technical knowledge in overhead transmission line design. It is important that you are a team player with exceptional interpersonal skills as you will be responsible for understanding the client standards and design guidelines to prepare project deliverables under the direction of the project lead.</p> <p>Our graduates are future leaders of our business. Whatever drives your ambition-technical excellence, project leadership, innovation, or shaping the future of sustainable energy-you'll discover how to develop and achieve your goals within a global team committed to making a difference.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>1 - 2 years relevant professional experience</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with structure design and foundation design fundamentals</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform field visits and walk-downs as required for client projects and providing engineering support for clients through the construction.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Microsoft suite applications and Auto CAD, and structural design software</p> </li></ul> <p>Ideally you will also have:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline. </li><li>Engineer in Training (EIT) certification </li><li>1 -2 years of Overhead Transmission Line Engineering design experience with a utility or consulting organization </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>75,000.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>105,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
