We are seeking a person with a positive energetic attitude with the willingness to learn and grow in the infectious disease specialty. We are looking for an individual who works well in a team environment and has a passion for providing optimal patient care.</p> <p>This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Collecting vital signs </li><li>Prepping and cleaning examine rooms </li><li>Phlebotomy </li><li>Preparing laboratory specimens; performing point of care tests on the premises </li><li>Accurately recording patient information in accordance with EMR documentation guidelines </li><li>Performing EKGs and other minor diagnostics/treatments </li><li>Administering injections, vaccines, and routine immunizations . </li><li>Assisting health care providers during examinations </li><li>Disposing of contaminated supplies </li><li>Works in partnership with clinic team members to ensure patients healthcare needs are being met </li><li>Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines </li><li>Maintains medical supply inventory for clinic; keeps patient rooms stocked with supplies as appropriate; ensures expired products are disposed of properly </li><li>Quality control testing </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with providers and others to resolve issues </li><li>Ability to demonstrate reliability and responsiveness to patients, families, and co-workers </li><li>Additional duties as assigned by Lab Manager </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience. </li><li>Valid registration/certification as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the State of Pennsylvania or LPN </li><li>Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills a must </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Typically sitting at a desk/table </li></ul> <p>Location</p> <ul> <li>Center City - Philadelphia, PA </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This position is classified as Non-Exempt, grade H.
