<p>The Veterinary Emergency Center of Canton is looking to add a skilled, friendly, and compassionate veterinary technician to our team!</p> <p>This is a full-time position, with a required schedule of 36 hours a week in addition to on-call availability. The schedule for this role will be two swing shifts during the week (10a-10p) and one weekend shift (8a-8p). We offer the most advanced medical and surgical options available and will tailor our approach to fit each pet that walks through our door.</p> <p>Our entire team is dedicated to treating our patients and their owners with the empathy and understanding needed to help them find the veterinary help they deserve.</p> <p>Veterinary Technician (overnight, weekend required)</p> <p>Veterinary Emergency Center of Canton in Canton, CT</p> <p>$22.00 - 28.00 per hour</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p> <ul> <li>Perform triage evaluation of the condition of a variety of patients </li><li>Create and maintain treatment sheets </li><li>Calculate and administer scheduled medications, continuous infusions, and blood products </li><li>Place and maintain catheters (central and peripheral venous, and urinary) </li><li>Record all treatments and patient status observations </li><li>Charge for all treatments and procedures </li><li>Alert the DVM with any changes in a patient's status </li><li>Perform anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery </li><li>Perform radiographs and laboratory analyses </li><li>Interact with clients, provide patient updates, financial updates, and manage patient visits </li><li>Able to comfort, handle and restrain large and small animals </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS</p> <p>We're passionate about helping you reach your greatest pet-ential - both at work and at home.
