<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Mars Wrigley is looking for a Maintenance Technician- Line Coverage in the Hackettstown, NJ site!</p> <p>What do we manufacture?</p> <p>Chocolate and Peanut M&Ms</p> <p>What will the shift be?</p> <ul> <li>12 Hour rotating shift between days and nights (4 days "on" followed by 4 days off) </li><li>Day Shift: 6:30am-7pm & Night Shift 6:30pm- 7am </li><li>Additional information provided in the screening process </li><li>Additional Pay & Benefit Information Below* </li></ul> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting various competencies including Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, AC/DC Electrical Systems, Automation (PLC and Instrumentation), Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process and Packaging Equipment with minimal guidance. As a Team, properly maintain and repair equipment in a fast paced, high production work environment, while prioritizing multiple mechanical/electrical and administrative tasks.</p> <p>What are we looking for?</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Relevant Technical Degree/Relevant Trade Certification OR 2+ years' of work experience related to industrial maintenance </li><li>Possess an understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problems with equipment </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs </li><li>Willingness to develop required technical skills </li><li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance/Technology </li><li>Technical/Trade Certification in: Advanced Machinist Skills, fabrication and/or blueprint interpretation </li><li>Understanding of AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC 3 Phase), Hydraulic and Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings </li><li>PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills\ </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) </li><li>Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.) </li><li>Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping. </li><li>Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment. </li><li>Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). </li><li>Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms. </li><li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English </li></ul> <p>What will be your key responsibilities?</p> <ul> <li>Capable of troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling equipment within close tolerances. </li><li>Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on process & packaging equipment. </li><li>Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) on Process & Packaging Equipment with minimal guidance. </li><li>Support Operations in equipment setup, changeover and training of operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities. </li><li>Document Work Orders (WO) using Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance). </li><li>Demonstrate Engagement in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams, training fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA's). </li><li>Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime. </li><li>Any ad hoc requests </li></ul> <p>Pay:</p> <ul> <li>Starting pay based on experience: $39.43+ per hour </li><li>Shift differential of $1.50 per hour (for all shifts including 1st shift!) </li><li>OT potential </li><li>Annual bonus pay out </li><li>Annual merit increases </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, vision & dental- Starts day one! </li><li>Up to 6% 401K match </li><li>Vacation time </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Short/Long Term disability </li><li>18 weeks parental leave </li></ul> <p>What can you expect from Mars?</p> <ul> <li>The opportunity to learn, develop and take charge of your own career. </li><li>An industry competitive salary and benefits package. </li><li>To be respected and valued. </li><li>The Five Principles at the center of every decision we make. </li><li>The opportunity to work cross functionally, add value and impact a better world for generations to come. </li></ul> <p>Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
