<p>Job Title: Summer Residence Life Work Study</p> <p>Location: Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown, IA 50158</p> <p>Department: Residence Life</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Student Engagement and Residence Life</p> <p>Semester: Fall 2025</p> <p>Number of Openings: 8</p> <p>Job Classification: Student, non-exempt, hourly timesheet</p> <p>Rate of Pay: $9.00 per hour</p> <p>Summary: The Residence Life Summer Worker helps with the shutdown and opening of Residence Halls for the MCC Campus. Workers will assist with the cleaning of apartments and common areas within the Residential Facilities as well as help maintain flower beds and landscaping around the facilities. The Summer staff will meet daily with the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Residence Life to obtain tasks and assignments for daily work. Residence Life Summer Worker will also help with moving and arranging of furniture in apartments and commons areas within the Residential Facilities.</p> <p>Job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the cleaning of residential apartments and commons areas </li><li>Help in moving furniture within residential facilities </li><li>Help maintain upkeep and watering for flower beds and landscaping around residential facilities </li><li>Assist with delivering packages and mail for summer residents </li><li>Assist with organization of storage closets and garage units </li><li>Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <p>Standard word processing and excel spreadsheet knowledge required.</p> <p>Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Iowa Valley Community College District does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment.
