For more information about Bob Evans Farms, Inc., visit www.bobevansgrocery.com.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Join our 10-week Finance Department program, where you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple finance and accounting areas such as financial reporting, cost of sales analysis, capital expenditure review, and budgeting & forecasting. You'll work closely with business leaders to develop and update reporting that supports decision-making, consolidate historical plant and cost data to identify trends, and assist in the annual business plan. This internship will allow you to make a positive impact by completing meaningful projects within Finance and a broader intern project. We expect all employees to demonstrate our core values of: Putting Safety First, Be Courageous, Do the Right Thing, Win Together, and Drive for Results.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in financial data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets. </li><li>Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis, to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement. </li><li>Assist in reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. </li><li>Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and financial regulations to support decision-making and strategic planning. </li><li>Support finance team members in ad-hoc projects, special assignments, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field </li><li>Must have completed at least sophomore year coursework </li><li>Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above preferred) </li><li>Prior internship, part-time, or project experience in finance/accounting is a plus but not required </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial or ERP systems a plus </li><li>Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively </li><li>Ability to work cohesively with peers and cross-functional partners </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear communication, and the ability to influence effectively at all levels </li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction </li><li>Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information </li></ul>
