<p>Job Description</p> <p>Packing Operator</p> <p>To become the world's greatest baker, we need the world's greatest team members</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>To perform packaging operator duties within Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and government standards.</p> <p>What FGF Offers:</p> <ul> <li>FGF believes in Home Grown Talent, accelerated career growth with leadership training, unleashing your potential </li><li>Competitive Compensation, Health & Welfare Benefits including Vision & Dental and flexible options at competitive premiums </li><li>401k matching program </li><li>Discount program - Restaurants, gyms, shopping, etc. </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Primary Responsiblities:</p> <ul> <li>Report to work area no later than ten minutes prior to the designated start of your shift. </li><li>Entering and reacting to all IPM data as stated in the IPM standards associated with their area. </li><li>Maintain all Internal and External KOV's. </li><li>Have knowledge of the proper procedure for dealing with on hold product. </li><li>Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and having it clean for the next shift. </li><li>Operating the box erector, labeler, tape machine, and all other equipment in the packaging area. </li><li>Accurately keeping a running total of cases produced on a rack sheet. </li><li>Following the proper GMP's associated with their work area and with company guidelines. </li><li>Participates actively in team meetings and training sessions. </li><li>Correctly stack pallets using the palletizer and operate it safely and consistently. </li><li>Communicate problems to upstream and downstream operators, using radios. </li><li>Check metal detectors with wands every hour per the metal detection standard and report any out of control conditions immediately. Metal detection is a HACCP Critical Control Point. </li><li>Check X-ray with wands every hour per the procedure and report any out of control conditions immediately. X-Ray detection is a secondary HACCP Critical Control Point. </li><li>Determine the necessity to alert team leaders/maintenance of any problems. </li><li>Must be able to stack boxes by hand in case of equipment failure. </li><li>Must be able to lift 50lbs. </li><li>Must load box machine. </li><li>Perform timely and efficient changeover. </li><li>Effectively communicate with the departing shift and arriving shift each day </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to work safely in packing environment. </li><li>Ability to read, write and perform basic math. </li><li>Must be able to follow written and verbal directions as well as safety regulations. </li><li>Expected to maintain a safe and clean work environment. </li><li>Must be able to understand and perform basic computer functions. </li><li>Must be able to work assigned overtime as needed. </li><li>Adheres to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives. </li><li>Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively. </li></ul> <p>#LI-ONSITE</p> <p>#Appcast2-4</p> <p>Job Family</p> <p>Production</p> <p>Job Level</p> <p>A-MFG</p>
