<p>Job Title: Project Architect</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting project teams in the development of design drawings, construction documents, and drawing coordination. This role involves coordinating working drawings with project consultants and performing site surveys, preparing due diligence reports, and conducting building code reviews.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support the project team in the development of design drawings, construction documents, and drawing coordination. </li><li>Coordinate working drawings with project consultants. </li><li>Perform and coordinate site surveys, prepare due diligence reports, and conduct building code reviews. </li><li>Interpret design concepts by collaborating with the Design Team and translate them into workable construction drawings. </li><li>Evaluate alternatives to develop solutions and maintain quality technical and design control. </li><li>Perform Construction Administration duties, including site visits, RFIs, shop drawing, and change order reviews. Travel may be required. </li><li>Coordinate and communicate regularly with project managers, consultants, and team members regarding project status. </li><li>Ensure work meets clients' requirements and is completed within schedule and budget. </li><li>Work with clients to confirm objectives and formulate options. </li><li>Prepare and conduct design and technical presentations for the team and/or clients. </li><li>Participate in marketing efforts, including presentations. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>4-10 years of professional experience. </li><li>Bachelor or Master Degree in architecture or equivalent. </li><li>Experience in Workplace, Retail, or Media/Broadcast preferred. </li><li>Extensive experience in developing Design & Construction Documents. </li><li>Ability to coordinate and lead the work of architecture & design staff and consultants. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards, and codes. </li><li>Onsite construction field experience required. </li><li>Ability to conceptualize a project schedule and meet project deadlines. </li><li>Proficiency in REVIT. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, consultants, internal team, and contractors. </li><li>Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Ability to consistently meet deadlines and complete tasks as defined. </li><li>Ability to work with integrity, trust, and commitment, setting an example for others. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science or Arts in architecture or Design (degree is not the big issue, experience is). </li><li>8-15 years of experience. </li><li>REVIT is a must. </li><li>Licensed Architect or Pursuit of License highly preferred. </li><li>Experience in high-end workplace or media projects. </li><li>Experience in high-end interiors, not big box retail or basic/standard aesthetic of design. </li><li>Hand sketching ability is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers a hybrid office schedule with four days in-office and Fridays at home. Availability for client meetings or site visits on Fridays may be required. The firm is deadline-intensive, offering overtime as needed, but maintains a flexible and easy-going atmosphere. Employees enjoy a casual dress code with jeans, and the office hosts social events like Margarita Fridays or Wine and Cheese Fridays in the winter. The work environment is respectful and collaborative, with open communication and hands-on partners who contribute to CAD work, surveys, and more.
