<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Provide administrative support of the day-to-day Human Resources operations in the Plant. Assists the HR Manager for the organization to achieve overall plant objectives. Major areas covered are HR Department Administration & Reporting, Payroll coordination, New Employee Orientation, Training, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Communications, Benefits Processing, Health & Wellness, Safety Reporting and Uniform/Laundry Services.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Maintains HR Systems </li><li>Ability to analyze HR data and generate reports as needed such as OSHA Log, MA 101, Payroll reports, employee reports as required by the Corporate Office or from the plant. </li><li>Maintains employee personnel and medical records in accordance with company policies and government regulations. Retains records adhering to the company record retention requirements. </li><li>Maintains temporary staffing records and update Temporary Employee Security Log </li><li>Assist employees with human resources related questions and issues. </li><li>Process applications, new hires, terminations and employment changes. </li><li>Develops and executes employee relation activities and events. </li><li>Maintains employee access cards and visitor/ Contractor ID badges. </li><li>Maintains bulletin boards. </li><li>Responsible for preparation and verification of hourly payroll. Verifies accuracy of hours exported and reviews payroll register submitted by Corporate. Verifies benefit deductions and salary changes in a timely manner. </li><li>Submits direct deposits changes, tax information and 401K Beneficiary changes for employees to Corporate. </li><li>Administers purchasing process for Human Resources Department. Adheres to set department budget. </li><li>Manages the recruitment and onboarding process for the plant (temporary and permanent positions). </li><li>Manages the parking tag program. </li><li>Oversees the City of Cambridge internship program candidates </li><li>Oversees the Security Office record keeping </li><li>Manages the Laundry/Uniform program, ensuring effectiveness of cleaning. </li><li>Employee Safety - Coordinate events such as Safety Day, Safety Walks, and First Responder program. </li><li>Provides clerical support and translation support to other departments as needed </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Assigned the responsibilities of the HR Manager, including Food Defense and SQF responsibilities when the HR Manager is not on site </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field </li><li>Professional Certification in the Human Resources field is a plus </li><li>Generalist background with broad knowledge of Employment, Compensation, Management Practices, Training & Development, Compliance Practices, and Employee Relations. </li><li>Strong communications skills, both written and verbal </li><li>1+ years of experience gained through generalist positions within Human Resources with increasing responsibility </li><li>Ability to speak Spanish is a must </li><li>Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Full-time</p> <p>Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>401(k) matching </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Professional development assistance </li><li>Retirement plan </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>8 hour shift </li><li>Day shift </li><li>Monday to Friday </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's (Preferred) </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Human resources: 1 year (Required) </li></ul> <p>Ability to Commute:</p> <ul> <li>Cambridge, MA 02139 (Required) </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
