<p>The Department of Educational Studies at Colgate University invites applications for two distinct one-year visiting assistant professor positions:</p> <ul> <li>Critical Literacy Studies </li><li>Critical STEM Education (e.g., eco-pedagogy, critical place-based pedagogy, climate and sustainability education, Indigenous science); prior K-12 experience and teacher certification required. </li></ul> <p>Both of these positions will begin in the fall semester of 2026. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses in their area of expertise as well as the introductory foundations course in the department (The American School). Completion of PhD or EdD is required prior to or shortly after the date of hire. The successful candidate will fulfill the expectation that all Colgate faculty participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.</p> <p>Salary Range or Pay Grade</p> <p>Salary range: $74,000 (for ABD candidates) to $78,000 (for candidates with degree in hand).</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>Three documents must be submitted through Interfolio.</p> <ul> <li>A cover letter; </li><li>CV; and </li><li>The names of three people who will submit a letter of reference at a later stage in the search. </li></ul> <p>Colgate strives to be a community supportive of diverse perspectives and identities.
