State of Michigan Teacher Certification</p> <p>? One or more of the following Special Education endorsements: SM (preferred), SE, SA</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILIES:</p> <p>? Demonstrate the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centered learning experiences</p> <p>through direct instruction to students on the resource room teacher's caseload and may assign</p> <p>grades or other evaluative measures for this instruction.</p> <p>? Provide direct and consultative support to the general education classroom teachers to whom</p> <p>special education students on the resource room teacher's caseload have been assigned.</p> <p>? Time will be allocated to the resource room teacher to carry out this responsibility. Provide</p> <p>services/instruction at multiple buildings (as needed).</p> <p>? Work in partnership with staff through guidance/planning/scheduling for instructional aides</p> <p>working with caseload students.</p> <p>? Demonstrate the ability to provide supplemental instruction to students on his or her caseload.</p> <p>? Understand and be able to be responsible for student I.E.P.s and all Federal mandates as they</p> <p>apply to a secondary resource room teacher.</p> <p>? Identify and apply educational and technology-related research, the psychology of learning, and</p> <p>instructional design principles in guiding use of technology in education.</p> <p>? Have excellent command of the English language (oral and written).</p> <p>? Strong organizational skills required. Ability to multi-task.</p> <p>? Participate in professional development experiences that allow him or her to observe, evaluate,</p> <p>and apply the use of technology to support instruction. Expert level of technology and 21st</p> <p>century learning understanding and application.</p> <p>? Deep knowledge of content standards, effective instructional strategies, and assessment driven</p> <p>instruction.</p> <p>?
