<p>Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description</p> <p>This position offers the opportunity to utilize project management and technical skills to drive continuous improvement and support the production floor. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and possess strong communication skills. The role involves technology integration, cost improvements, equipment utilization, quality improvements, new product introduction, and ensuring a safe work environment. Emphasis will be placed on enhancing the value stream to increase throughput and improve efficiencies through effective layout that maximizes flow and reduces handling.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. </li><li>Integrate technology to improve production processes. </li><li>Implement cost and quality improvements. </li><li>Support new product introductions and ensure a safe work environment. </li><li>Enhance value stream to increase throughput and efficiency. </li><li>Collaborate with teams on lean initiatives and preventive action planning. </li><li>Conduct root cause analysis and Poka Yoke. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing support experience. </li><li>PLC Programming and troubleshooting exposure. </li><li>Strong CAD experience, particularly with Inventor. </li><li>Ability to read blueprints. </li><li>Six Sigma knowledge. </li><li>Proficiency in process improvement and lean manufacturing. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering/Operations with two years' experience, or over five years of Manufacturing/Process engineering experience. </li><li>Desired fabrication experience. </li><li>Knowledge of quality systems, including PPAP, FMEA, APQP, SPC, and Control plans. </li><li>Industrial experience with metal fabrication, welding, machining, and heavy equipment manufacturing preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is within a manufacturing company where the individual will spend equal time on the production floor and with the Quality Team, with a potential routine split of 60/40 or 70/30. The dress code includes khaki and polo or jeans and polo. The team consists of 4-5 members, with start times between 6:30 am to 7:00 am.
