<p>The Lifeguards' primary duties, under direct supervision, include operating several indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, ensuring the safety of patrons, upholding established policies and procedures, and leading swimming lessons and other aquatic programs.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide respectful, professional, positive service in all interactions between co-workers, internal and external customers, community members, and the public at large. </li><li>Maintain a positive and productive environment ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the City, Department and Division. </li><li>Works to prevent accidents and eliminate hazards in and around the pool and deck areas to provide an enjoyable experience for the public. </li><li>Respond quickly to emergency situations and administers first aid to accident victims, when needed. </li><li>Monitor pool zones in assigned areas address behavioral infractions or safety concerns. </li><li>Educate patrons and informs them of the purpose of and need for rules and regulations. </li><li>Enforce rules and policies courteously but firmly. </li><li>Attend mandatory in-service training. </li><li>Clean pool deck, stainless steel, restrooms, guard o?ice, and vacuum pool. </li><li>Provide information and assistance to patrons. </li><li>Provide private, semi-private, or group swimming lessons. </li><li>Work collaboratively with peers and supervisors on creating, developing, and maintaining a sense of teamwork among lifeguards. </li></ul> <p>The City of Wentzville is committed to being an employer of choice, offering prosperous and meaningful career opportunities, excellent benefits, and flexibility.</p> <p>This is a part-time position not to exceed an average of 29 hours per week.</p> <p>This job posting will remain open until a sufficient number of qualified applicants are received.</p>
