Ranked as a top PMCM firm by Engineering News-Record (ENR) for more than three decades, our award-winning team provides a full range of services to public and private sector clients in the aviation; healthcare; education (K-12 and higher); justice and essential services; science and technology; state and local government; transportation; water and wastewater; energy; and commercial, residential and nonprofit markets.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform the collection, research and analysis of a broad range of demographic data sourcessuch as student records, population data sets obtained from the district and local and stateagencies </li><li>Generate reports, graphs and charts to collate information collected and develop presentations </li><li>Use statistical analysis and develop student projections and enrollment by school or cluster forproposed boundary changes </li><li>Compile and assess demographic research and statistical studies involving projections inenrollment fluctuations at schools and various areas in the district </li><li>Participate in summaries and other written materials to ensure the access to demographicinformation and allow stakeholders to make informed decisions </li><li>Analyze proposals for attendance zone changes and its effect on planning for schoolconstruction projects </li><li>Respond to inquiries related to zoning and enrollment data, including demographic andgeographic issues from district staff and outside agencies </li><li>Participate in field on-site surveys to determine demographic and geographic studentpopulation data and project classroom capacities </li><li>Develop and maintain zone grid maps to determine school locations, boundaries for the district </li><li>Maintains quality control of maps and documents </li><li>Performs other related tasks required. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in urbanplanning, mathematics, geography, economics or related field </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years full-time paid professional experience in research, mapping or dataanalysis in demography, urban planning, statistics, geography or any related field. </li><li>Experience in compiling and analyzing school or enrollment data is preferred </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Statistical methods of analysis </li><li>Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related computer software such as ArcGIS10 </li><li>Mapping concepts and techniques in cartography </li><li>Research methods, principles and graphic presentations </li><li>Microsoft Office proficiency </li><li>Best practices and terminologies in demography </li></ul> <p>Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
