Campus Main Campus, Utica NY Date Position Available 01/01/2026 Posted Salary $75,000-$80,000/year FLSA Status Exempt Benefits Eligible Yes If yes, please select: All Benefits</p> <p>Position Summary Information</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Department of Physical Therapy at Utica University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor faculty position in the on-campus, entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. This is a 10-month appointment. The start date is January 1, 2026.</p> <p>Location Utica, NY Application Deadline <em>Full consideration by</em>: 01/01/2026 Open Until Filled No Major Responsibilities</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <p>? The candidate will primarily teach ground courses in the neuromuscular system curriculum. Courses are currently taught during the traditional fall and spring semesters.</p> <p>? Based on departmental needs, the successful candidate may also be expected to teach in other content areas, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and various systems (e.g., integumentary, genitourinary, etc.), as well as conduct research. Additional teaching opportunities are available based on the candidate's areas of interest.</p> <p>? The candidate will conduct research and service appropriate for the program expectations and successful tenure review.</p> <p>? As a DPT Program faculty member, the candidate will participate in advising undergraduate and graduate students, as well as providing professional mentoring.</p> <p>Driving Responsibilities Travel Supervises Education Required Certification Required Education & Experience Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience Qualifications:</p> <p>? Terminal academic doctoral degree such as a PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent. ABD candidates may be considered for this position.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>? Candidates with prior higher education teaching experience and two years of relevant clinical experience.</p> <p>Minimum Skills/Abilities</p> <p>Required License/Certification and Qualifications:</p> <p>? The candidate must have a current unrestricted license or eligibility for PT licensure in New York State.</p> <p>Minimum Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>? Contemporary expertise in neuromuscular physical therapy or ABPTS Certification.</p> <p>? A commitment to innovation and student-centered learning.</p> <p>? Evidence of an ongoing or developing scholarly agenda.</p> <p>? Ability to engage in service activities in the department, at the University, and in the surrounding community.</p> <p>?
