Applicants from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.</p> <p>TITLE: Special Education Teacher Maternity - Leave Replacement (Sept 2025-June 2026)</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate and appropriate Special Education Endorsement or eligibility (Specifically:Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Student with Disabilities)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with: Students in Specialized /Intensive Support Classroom settings (e.g., Language Learning Disabilities Program, Multiple Disabilities Program, Autism Spectrum, Disorder Spectrum Program) perferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and ability to maintain a positive learning environment</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status</p> </li><li> <p>Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment</p> </li></ol> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal, Coordinator of Student Personnel Services</p> <p>SUPERVISES: Pupils, and when assigned, student teachers and teacher assistants</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To provide an approved special education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.</p>
