<p>Job description</p> <p>The Supply Place is Garrett's hub for outdoor power equipment - from professional-grade chainsaws and blowers to residential mowers and trimmers. We sell it, assemble it, service it, and help customers keep it running season after season.</p> <p>We're looking for a hands-on, mechanically curious team member who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and working around equipment every day.</p> <p>A key contributor role inside a fast-paced, equipment-focused department.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Outdoor Power Equipment Sales </li><li>Help customers choose the right equipment for their property or job </li><li>Confidently demo mowers, chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, and battery systems </li><li>Explain differences between brands like STIHL, EGO, Milwaukee, etc. </li><li>Support customers after the sale with maintenance guidance and parts questions </li></ul> <p>Repair Intake & Shop Support</p> <ul> <li>Check in repair equipment and document issues clearly </li><li>Track jobs in our system and communicate timelines with customers </li><li>Coordinate parts ordering and follow up on backorders </li><li>Keep repair workflow organized and moving efficiently </li><li>You don't need to be a certified mechanic - but you do need to be comfortable learning parts systems and understanding how equipment works. </li></ul> <p>Parts & Inventory</p> <ul> <li>Look up and order small engine parts accurately </li><li>Keep high-turn inventory stocked and organized </li><li>Assist with receiving and checking in equipment shipments </li><li>Experience at a parts counter, dealership, repair shop, or service desk is a strong plus. </li></ul> <p>Hands-On Shop Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Assemble new outdoor power equipment for display and customer pickup </li><li>Perform basic services like chain sharpening and simple tune-ups (training provided) </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, safe shop floor </li><li>Support seasonal merchandising (mower season, fall cleanup, etc.) </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a mechanical, retail, or service environment (2+ years preferred) </li><li>Comfortable using inventory systems and computer lookup tools </li><li>Mechanically inclined and eager to learn </li><li>Strong attention to detail - especially with repair tracking </li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs and move equipment safely </li><li>Calm and professional with customers </li><li>Bonus If You Have </li><li>Small engine knowledge </li></ul> <p>Company Introduction</p> <p>We are your local hardware store and we are a part of your community.
