<p>Description - External</p> <p>Shift: Part Time 24 hrs./week. Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Weekends- Yes.</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Aids with entry and exit of patients. </li><li>Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. </li><li>Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records. </li><li>Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent is required. </li><li>Completion of, but not limited to, one or more of the following areas required: - Certified Nurse Assistant program OR one or more years hospital experience as a Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate program, Medical Office Assistant program OR other direction care vocational training, Current Co-op Student, Nursing Student enrolled in an accredited RN program and has completed the Fundamentals of Nursing. </li><li>Previous experience in direct patient care required. - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. </li></ul> <p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
