Join us and be part of something extraordinary.</p> <p>We're seeking a future team member for the role of VICE PRESIDENT, GOVERNMENT RELATIONS to support our Global Government and Regulatory Affairs (GGRA) team to help advance the bank's thought leadership program focused on the future of financial markets. This role is open to candidates in Washington, DC, New York City and, Pittsburgh.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is a collaborative and effective analyst and excellent , writer who sits at the intersection of financial services and, public policy, and geopolitics. Your experience synthesizing complex financial markets topics and translating subject matter expert insights into clear, accessible content for internal and external audiences will be essential. Prior work experience at think tanks, news outlets, and/or consulting firms is highly valued.</p> <p>In this role, you will work with GGRA our policy team as well as, BNY's lines of business, and Marketing and Communications colleagues to support the firm's thought leadership program, positioning BNY as a resource with unique insights for our clients, policymakers, policy influencers and other key external stakeholders. You will establish yourself as an effective writer and project manager who can execute across multiple workstreams and serve as a key partner with colleagues across the bank.</p> <p>In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:</p> <ul> <li>Create clear, client-focused content that aligns to BNY business objectives to that will be used in a variety of settings globally </li><li>Translate complex financial, technology, and industry topics into accessible content for internal and external audiences, leveraging strong analytical and writing skills. </li><li>Conduct in-depth review and analysis of changes in financial market structure as well as emerging geopolitical, policy and, where relevant, regulatory developments in partnership with SMEs across the firm bank to ensure accuracy and relevance. </li><li>Support publication of newsletters that tracks global developments in politics and policy relevant to the bank and our clients. </li><li>Continuously learning and adapting content strategies based on feedback and evolving client needs. </li></ul> <p>To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required, master's degree preferred. </li><li>7-10 years of total work experience preferred. </li><li>Prior work experience at think tanks, news outlets, and/or consulting firms is preferred. </li><li>Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Synthesize complex topics and translate expert knowledge into content suitable for internal and external audiences </li><li>Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness </li><li>Work independently with sound judgment and manage competing priorities </li><li>Digest significant amounts of new information quickly to identify what is important to BNY, its clients, and other key stakeholders </li><li>Have a working knowledge of financial markets and, geopolitical developments, political, and policy processes, especially related to banking and financial services </li><li>Work collaboratively across different teams and regions </li><li>Develop creative solutions to complex problems </li></ul> <p>At BNY, our culture speaks for itself. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
