<p>Overview</p> <ul> <li>As a Security Police Officer you will provide first response to emergencies, enforces federal law and assimilated state law, and conducts mobile patrols. </li><li>This posting is for a pipeline position. We are proactively building a talent pool for future opportunities and may not have an immediate opening at this time.* </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions. </li><li>Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspections. </li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age. </li><li>Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), OR </li><li>Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), OR </li><li>Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, OR </li><li>Successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy. </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. </li><li>Must meet or exceed the Minimum Medical and Physical Standards for an Armed Security Officers outlined in Interagency Security Committee, Best Practices for Armed Security Officers in Federal Facilities, Appendix B: (April 2013, 2nd?Edition). </li><li>Must satisfactorily qualify with a 9 mm semi-auto pistol handgun and M4 semi-automatic rifle, and shotgun qualification course administered by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) quarterly. </li><li>Must complete and successfully pass the FLETC Active Shooter Threat Training Program (ASTTP). </li><li>The PAT requirements are in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services requirements. All armed officers must able to exhibit full range of motion, able to easily get down to and up from a kneeling position, lift 40 pounds minimum from floor to waist, bench press at least 40 percent of his or her body weight, perform sit-ups and push-ups continuously for at least 30 seconds each and complete a .5 mile course as a timed event based on age and gender. </li><li>Must satisfactorily pass initial and random drug testing. </li><li>Must satisfactorily pass initial psychological testing. </li><li>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire, including a background check to determine if applicant has been convicted of "Crimes Against Household Member" or any "Domestic Violence Act," and who would be in violation of Federal Law, State Law or the Lautenberg Amendment, and therefore shall not be eligible for employment </li></ul> <p>Estimated Salary/Wage</p> <p>Up to USD $26.22/Hr.</p>
