<p>METROPOLITAN SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PIKE TOWNSHIP</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Instructional Assistant -Learning Center</p> <p>Frequent contact/follow-up for all students assigned to Learning Center</p> <p>o -Check on student progress</p> <p>o -Inquire about potential attendance concerns</p> <p>o -Respond to questions regarding Canvas, attendance, high school deadlines, etc.</p> <p>o -Monitor and oversee Credit Recovery Classes in Edmentum</p> <p>o -Refer questions to assistant principal overseeing Learning Center</p> <p>Develop a troubleshooting guide for your position as a study hall, learning center, or guided learning instructor. Document should include step-by-step instructions on how to fulfill all indicated job assignments on any given day.</p> <p>o -Upon in-person-instruction, identify best practices implemented to facilitate classroom learning</p> <p>o -Thoroughly explain attendance-taking procedures</p> <p>o -Describe active classroom supervision methods</p> <p>o -Determine how academic progress is measured and what action plans are implemented to achieve results</p> <p>Frequent contact with each Department Chairs to identify teachers with students who may need encouragement regarding attendance, study habits, academic proficiency. Framework will be implemented via Google Sheet</p> <p>Help students develop and maintain accountability by implementing a 2-3-week action plan to see results in academic performance</p> <p>Assist High School's Secretarial Staff with Clerical Work and Assigned Office Tasks</p> <p>Actively Supervise and Monitor Progress During Daily Classes</p> <p>Take Accurate Attendance Daily and Maintain Updated Class Rosters</p> <p>Effectively Communicate with Classroom Teachers as Needed Regarding Student Passes or Assignments</p> <p>Collaborate With Supervisor Regarding Class-Related Needs, Concerns, Progress</p> <p>Any other duties as assigned by supervisor</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>48 college credits or have passed the Praxis exam</p> <p>Visit our website at www.pike.k12.in.us or http://www.generalasp.com/msdpike/onlineapp/default.aspx to apply.</p> <p>No medical benefits are offered with this position.</p>
