This role is for leaders who see procurement as a lever for innovation-not a transactional function-and who can build systems that scale with Tesla's ambitious growth.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute sourcing strategies for all your and your team's products to ensure the very best quality, cost, delivery, and service </li><li>Analyze market dynamics to ensure supply continuity, adapting strategies to address current and emerging risks </li><li>Partner with product teams during concept development to define technical, financial, and sustainability requirements for components and materials </li><li>Drive end-to-end ownership of procurement workflows, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance tracking, and risk mitigation </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to refine product specifications and onboard suppliers </li><li>Identify and qualify new sources of supply to support plant expansions, product launches, and sustainability initiatives </li><li>Deliver cost-reduction targets through data-driven analysis and innovative sourcing practices </li><li>5-10 years of progressive experience in procurement/supply chain management, with 5+ years in electronics sourcing and 4+ years leading teams </li><li>Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience </li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence product design through early-stage cross-functional collaboration </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end product lifecycle ownership, including supplier onboarding, risk mitigation, and sustainable scaling </li><li>Experience driving change management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments </li><li>Proven success in leading teams and implementing procurement frameworks that align with business objectives </li><li>Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on measurable outcomes </li><li>Familiarity with supplier scorecards, contract law, and compliance standards </li></ul>
