<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Director of Title IX, Compliance & Enterprise Risk is responsible for leading and coordinating institutional compliance, enterprise risk management, and Title IX administration for the college. This position oversees compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and institutional regulations while supporting a culture of ethics, accountability, safety, and inclusion across the campus community.</p> <p>The Director serves as the institution's designated Title IX Coordinator and provides leadership for institutional compliance efforts, including obligations under Title IX, Title VII, Clery Act, VAWA, and related federal and state requirements. In collaboration with campus partners, the role advances risk mitigation, policy development, training, investigations, and institutional reporting.</p> <p>Expected salary range: $110,00-$120,000 when annualized, commensurate with experience. The College also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and generous paid time off.</p> <p>Position responsibilities include:</p> <p>Title IX & Title VII Administration</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the institution's designated Title IX Coordinator. </li><li>In collaboration with Human Resources, support coordination of compliance with Title VII, Title IX, VAWA, Clery Act requirements, and related federal and state regulations. </li><li>Receive and coordinate institutional response to reports and complaints involving sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, stalking, dating violence, domestic violence, retaliation, and related concerns. </li><li>Coordinate supportive measures for students, faculty, staff, and visitors involved in Title IX matters. </li><li>Ensure prompt, equitable, and impartial resolution processes in accordance with institutional policies and applicable legal requirements. </li><li>Oversee or coordinate investigations and facilitate resolution processes, including informal resolution pathways and adjudicatory procedures as applicable. </li><li>Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reporting, including required annual reporting obligations. </li><li>Monitor case trends and recommend policy, procedural, and risk mitigation improvements. </li><li>Develop and deliver prevention, education, and training programs for students, employees, and campus partners, including leadership and supervisory staff. </li><li>Provide guidance on Title IX and Title VII compliance, best practices, and regulatory updates to campus leadership and departments. </li></ul> <p>Institutional Compliance & Risk Management</p> <ul> <li>Lead and coordinate the college's institutional compliance and enterprise risk management programs, including policy development, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, internal reviews, incident analysis, and corrective action planning. </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation requirements related to ethics, civil rights, student affairs, employment practices, and campus operations. </li><li>Collaborate with campus partners to identify, assess, and mitigate institutional risks while strengthening internal controls and promoting operational effectiveness. </li><li>Maintain compliance records, reporting systems, and required documentation; monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting higher education; and advise campus leadership on policy and operational impacts. </li><li>Coordinate compliance training, educational programming, emergency preparedness, business continuity, crisis response, and risk mitigation initiatives across the campus community, and perform related duties as needed. </li><li>Work collaboratively with campus partners, legal counsel, insurance providers, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to promote a culture of integrity, accountability, safety, and compliance. </li><li>Other duties as assigned and/or required. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Higher Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, Law, Risk Management, or a related field required, Juris Doctor, or relevant professional certification preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Title IX, compliance, student conduct, human resources, legal affairs, risk management, or related higher education administration. </li><li>Experience working in a small private college or university setting preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of Title IX and Title VII regulations, Clery Act, VAWA, FERPA, accreditation standards, and related civil rights and higher education regulations. </li><li>Training or certification in Title IX investigations, compliance, or risk management preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational, investigative, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment. </li></ul> <p>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse populations.</p> <p>Experience conducting training, compliance education, and campus-wide programming.</p> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, student-centered small-college environment.</p> <p>Must be available to work nights and weekends.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Dean College is an equal-opportunity, Title IX institution and pledges to recruit, select and promote diversity by providing equality of opportunity in higher education for all persons, including faculty and staff with respect to hiring, continuation, promotion, and applicants for admission, enrolled students and graduates without discrimination or segregation.</p> <p>The College is interested in candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of colleagues, students, faculty, and community members.
