<ul> <li>Sign-On Bonus Eligible </li><li>Reviews and processes departmental order requests. </li><li>Prepares medications for distribution to the patient care units. </li><li>Distributes medications to the patient care units. </li><li>Orders medications from various suppliers. </li><li>Prepares parenteral products. </li><li>Maintains the medication inventory, place orders in stock, check expiration dates, process returns as needed. </li><li>Trains and orients new pharmacy support personnel. </li><li>Billing and other pharmacy duties that do not require a pharmacist. </li><li>Maintains appropriate records and regulatory documentation. </li><li>Pre-packaging and labeling of bulk medications to unit dosed containers/packaging. </li><li>Answers telephone directing phone calls appropriately and diverts all medication/clinical inquiries to the Pharmacist. </li><li>Maintains cleanliness of the department. </li><li>Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and coworkers. </li><li>Performs other work-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Additional Inpatient Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Obtains patient medication orders for medication reconciliation duties to input into MAR. </li><li>Prepares chemotherapy and dosage calculation checks. </li><li>Ability to read, write and communicate in English. </li><li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician. </li><li>Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or equivalent certification. </li><li>One-year recent experience (within the past 3 years) as a Pharmacy Technician; 3 years preferred, OR PTCB certification or equivalent certification as an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Trainee. </li><li>Duties require very good verbal communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul>
