Distinctive curricula in an international, culturally diverse supportive learning environment prepare graduates for life and leadership in an increasingly interconnected world.</p> <p>Position Description Summary/Purpose:</p> <p>Recruits, trains and provides guidance to members of the women's lacrosse team in a manner which promotes the academic, athletic and social success of athletes and is consistent with the mission and goals of the University of Bridgeport Athletic Department. Assist the head women's lacrosse coach with duties assigned.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>(The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.)</p> <ul> <li> <ol> <li>Represent the University of Bridgeport and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="2"> <li>Promote and support the University of Bridgeport and its mission. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="3"> <li>Promote and support the University of Bridgeport Athletic Department's program mission and goals. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="4"> <li>Assist with all aspects of the lacrosse program; provides opportunities that challenge and support student-athletes to reach their full potential including recruiting. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="5"> <li>Adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA, CACC, and any other authorities that affect the intercollegiate athletic program </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="6"> <li>Assist the head coach in planning and operation of the program. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="7"> <li>Provide leadership in implementation of the program. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="8"> <li>Perform duties as assigned by head coach and/or Athletic Director </li></ol> </li><li>9.Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed. </li></ul> <p>Other Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates. </li><li>Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends. </li><li>Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Ability and Skill:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering best practices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and build an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity. </li><li>Experience in the sport of lacrosse </li></ul>
