Actively working alongside personnel,</p> <p>while ensuring daily questions and concerns are addressed. Supports and implements training for the</p> <p>Sterile Processing Department to ensure patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.</p> <p>Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.</p> <p>Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required</p> <p>Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution</p> <p>Personnel (CSPD) upon hire.</p> <p>Minimum Education Level</p> <p>High School Diploma/GED</p> <p>LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION</p> <p>CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician through CBSPD within 12 months from date of hire/transfer OR CRST - Certified Registered Cental Technician through HSPA within 12 months from date of hire/Transfer</p> <p>CHL - Certified Healthcare Leader through HSPA within 2 years from date of hire/transfer OR CPSPM - Certified Sterile Processing Management through CBSPD within 2 years from date of hire/transfer</p> <p>Minimum Experience Required</p> <p>5 years minimum experience in Sterile Processing or other relevant healthcare experience. Must have training in instrument tracking system/s. Call Requirements: no routine call is required except when call coverage cannot be filled due to illness or other circumstances involving a regularly scheduled employee. The supervisor then has the option of either enlisting assistance from the remaining call pool or accepting the call assignment.</p> <p>Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required</p> <p>Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution</p> <p>Personnel (CSPD) upon hire.</p> <p>Educational requirements and certified status must be maintained.</p> <p>Familiar with Operating Room routines, infection control principles and regulatory practices.</p> <p>Strong leadership skills. Knowledge of sterilization parameters (decontamination, instrument preparation,</p> <p>sterilization) and universal precautions. Strong communication skills that include both verbal and written</p> <p>accuracy. Good judgement skills.
